Bisque Fire
Allow us to help you with the finishing touches of your pottery by firing it in our kiln!
Our bisque fire is the initial firing of ceramic and clay ware in our kiln, transforming raw claw into a porous, durable and more manageable state (also known as bisqueware). This process hardens the clay, removes water and impurities, and prepares it for glazing and a subsequent glaze firing.
Price is based on the entire kiln being filled. A full kiln is $33. Given we won’t know how much space your pieces might take up, the price is determined upon completion, though we can give you a rough guestimate as to how much it might cost.

Please note: Pieces will need to be brought to our gallery during business hours and set up with our gallery attendant or administrator.
Kiln can only be operated by authorized personnel. If you wish to put items in kiln, you must have prior permission. This is due to the delicacy and fire hazard of the kiln.
We try to fire at least once a week but it sometimes might be two depending on how many pieces we have needing service. Because of this, we ask you to please let us know if there is a deadline you need your pieces by.
