Community Mosaic Bench

LOCATION: Pembina Hills Arts Council (352 Stephen Street, Morden, MB R6M 1T5)

Join us for a fun, hands-on art activity and help create a community mosaic that will be featured on the back of a bench designed for seniors in Morden. Participants will be invited to paint and design small pieces of art inspired by what Morden means to them or what they love about our city. Using a shared colour palette, all the individual pieces will come together into a cohesive design. Once completed, the artwork will be assembled into a large mosaic spelling out the word “MORDEN,” creating a lasting, community-built art piece for everyone to enjoy.

You know how to cast on, knit and purl, cast off, and lots more. What now? Join us in this encouraging class where we will build on what you already know and “carry on knitting. Learn how to read and interpret patterns, fix errors, and much more. Bring some patterns, and we’ll go from there!

“Practice“ yarn will be supplied, but participants will need to bring their own yarn for their actual projects.
