Photography Class   - learn 4 elements of taking a good picture, how SLR works and camera basics

Saturday September 25 from 10am-12pm (1st session) OR 2:30-4:30 (2nd session)  

Pencil Sketching – learn shading, perspective, shapes and faces (students required to provide medium paper, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B, white and kneaded eraser

Thursday October 7 – November 25 from 6:30pm-8:00pm  

Learn to Knit – for those who have never picked up knitting needles to those who want to knit and learn from knitters; (students can bring their own needles, patterns and yarn, some will be provided)

Thursday, September 23 – November 25, starting at 6:30  

Colour Mixing – for anyone wanting to learn the basics in mixing paint colours from a triad; perfect for watercolour, acrylic or oils (all supplies included)

Wednesday October 6 – November 24 from 7:00pm-9:00pm  

Watercolour with Sylvia Workshop “Autumn Leaves” – watercolour and mixed media of fall colours focusing on leaves

Saturday, October 2 from 11:00am-3:30pm  

Art Classes for Home Schoolers – learn how to draw, paint, pottery, art history and more 

Every third Tuesday of the month from 10:00am – 12:00pm for ages 11 and up (sign up per class)  

Creative Writing Workshop - Life Enriching Writing  In a supportive small group you will learn and use the Tools of Transformative Writing (TM)   Gliding past your inner critic, you will discover or rediscover your vibrant, authentic voice in writing, together with possible channels for publishing. 

Saturday, October 16 and Saturday, November 27 from 9:30 – 4pm  

Pottery – learning all the basics and techniques of pottery (all supplies included except pen and paper for note taking)

Making Music Together in the Pembina Valley

Senior Orchestra directed by Wes Hamm: Open to violinists, violists and cellists with grade 5 or higher skill level. Must be committed to all rehearsals, performances and to individual practice.

Begins Wednesday, October 13 from 7pm to 8:30pm in the Morden Collegiate Band Room

Intermediate Orchestra directed by Winnipeg cellist Allison Warrian: Open to string instruments at levels 3 & 4 both students and adults committed to all rehearsals, performances and to practicing on their own.

Begins Tuesday, October 12 from 7-8pm at the Ecole Morden Middle School Music Room

Adult Concert Band directed by Paul Moen: Open to adults who play all brass, percussion, and woodwind instruments. Must be committed to all rehearsals, performances and to individual practice. The band personnel will include musicians who continue to play regularly, as well as those who have not played for some time, but wish to pursue the challenges and joy of once again playing their band instrument. 

Beginning on Tuesday, October 12 at 7:00pm-8:30pm in the Garden Valley Collegiate Band Room.  

Individual Lessons: Fiddle, cello and violin lessons offered to musicians of all ages.

Home School Harmony Choir directed by Rochelle Drudge: Open to all home schooled students committed to a weekly practice.

Starting Tuesday, October 5 from 3-4pm.

Folk Fiddle Ensemble - an adult aged folk-style violin group. The playing level would be late beginner to intermediate. The music would be a variety of folk music, with the focus on playing in time and in tune, along with enjoying music making.

Beginning October 18 from 7pm-8pm at St Paul’s United Church  

Beginner Suzuki String Ensemble - Beginning October 14 Thursday evening 6:45 - 7:15 at the Winkler Bergthaler Church, 2nd floor,  

Early Reader String Orchestra – Beginning October 14 Thursday evening 7:15 - 7:45 at Winkler Bergthaler  Church, 2nd floor
